I started Walking Paws with Ryan in 2017 out of a genuine love for animals and a desire to help pet owners feel confident their pets are in great hands.

Over the years, I’ve been lucky to become well known in the San Mateo and Belmont areas, mostly through word of mouth from happy clients and their neighbors. If you’re looking for someone who treats your pets like their own, I’d love to help.

Reliable, caring support for pets of all kinds.

  • We offer a small, in-home daycare experience for your pup in my home, providing a calm, supervised environment with personalized care.

    What’s Included:

    • In-home, supervised daycare in a calm environment

    • Structured play and rest throughout the day

    • Socialization with other dogs (when appropriate)

    • Feeding as requested by owner

    • Potty breaks and basic routine care

    • Medication administration available for an additional fee

    Drop-Off & Pick-Up Times

    • Drop-Off: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 8:10 AM | Saturday-Sunday 8:00AM - 5:00 PM

    • Pick-Up: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM | Saturday-Sunday 8:00AM - 5:00 PM

    • Occasional weekends available— inquire for availability

    Requirements

    • Vaccinations must be current and up to date— copy of vaccination records required

    • Dogs must be well socialized and house trained

  • Your dog will stay in a safe, comfortable, home-style environment where they receive attentive care and plenty of individual attention. We keep routines consistent, prioritize your dog’s comfort, and create a calm setting so they can settle in and feel at home while you’re away. Travel with confidence knowing your fur baby is in good hands!

    • Safe, in-home boarding in a comfortable, supervised environment

    • Personalized care and feeding according to your pet’s schedule

    • Potty breaks, exercise, and playtime

    • Plenty of attention, comfort, and care

  • We offer private, neighborhood dog walks tailored to your dog’s needs. Walks are available 30 or 60 minute sessions. 15 minute walks are also available for senior dogs and/or potty breaks.

    During each walk, we reinforce leash manners and practice safe, proper introductions to other dogs to ensure safety for everyone.

    Best For:

    • Dogs who do best with one-on-one attention

    • Puppies learning leash manners

    • Dogs who need structured, calm walks

  • Our drop-in visits include feeding, litter box/habitat cleaning, playtime, and plenty of cuddles to keep your pet comfortable while you’re away.

Founder

Caring for animals has always brought me joy. As a kid, if I saw a stray I was determined to help the animal out, and I still do to this day. I often would ask my friends and neighbors if I could walk their dog or play with their cats just to be around animals. Working with animals is a passion of mine and being able to care for our fury four legged friends brings me joy.

I’ve loved and taken care of animals my entire life. Growing up, I spent most of my time raising and training my own dogs. I started my career as a professional dog walker in 2021 when I joined the Walking Paws team. I find this work extremely rewarding— I get to receive so much dog love every day!
